Intensive Maintenance Class
This single-day course is our most popular class. You get a whole day's (10:00 - 18:00, usually on a Saturday or Sunday) tuition getting to know your way around the bike. If you bring your own bike you can work on this for some of the day. If you can't, let us know and we'll supply one for you.

- Puncture repair: wheel removal, locating punctures, fixing punctures, wheel refitting.
- Wheel truing - essential for better braking.
- Brake adjustment for powerful, silent stopping.
- Adjusting hub bearings for maximum life and smooth running.
- Gear adjustment: including fitting new cables and fine tuning front and rear mechanisms.
- Bottom bracket and headset adjustment.
- Recommendations for routine bicycle servicing.

Excellent course and well worth the price. Looking forward to saving on services and repairs on four bikes in the household. I wondered about the amount of time and explanation spent on wheel truing whilst on the course - fiddling with wheels is something I thought I'd never have to tackle or have the patience to do. A week after the course, however, when using the skills learned to service my wife's bike I was able to remove a buckle in her front wheel that had mysteriously appeared... Fantastic! |
