Formula Freehub Body 8 Speed W/ Socket Tool

The Specialized Freehub Body replaces the 'freewheel mechanism' part of your Formula rear hub.

  • You'll know it's time to replace your freehub body when the cranks spin without resistance because the freehub's internal pawls no longer engage.
  • Fitting a new freehub body might save you having to replace a whole wheel.
  • Supplied with socket to facilitate fitting or removing the Formula Freehub Body.
  • Suitable for Formula hubs made for 8-speed cassettes as fitted to many generations of Revolution, Specialized and Giant bicycles.

Great part! Fitted my bontrager wheel with a formula 22DC rear hub off my 2016 Trek Marlin 6 no problems.
Ask a question
Q. Do you know if this freehub will fit onto a 2014 Halford's Chris Boardman  Road Sport bike?
A. There is no information available regarding the hub fitted to this bike so its not possible to advise if this freehub will fit.
Q. Can you tell me if this freehub runs on the axle with ball bearings or a cartridge bearing?
A. It is loose bearings.
Q. I have a formula hub in my Marin bobcat 2014 which has a 9 speed cassette would this fit it looks very alike to the picture?
A. Eight and nine speed cassettes are the same width so 9 speed cassettes fit 8 speed freehubs and vice versa. Its possible that this free hub will fit your exiting hub but it would be best to check the part number of your current hub against this one so we can confirm.
Q. Does barcode #719676803661 freehub body fit a 2010 Specialized Sirrus Disk with Jalco rims?
A. Yes it should but unfortunately Freehub bodies are very difficult to identify as alot of hubs aren't clearly designated with model years etc. If you could maybe get a photo of the existing body and Email into us we can maybe help identify the correct part from there.
Q. Does barcode #719676803661 freehub body fit a 2010 Specialized Sirrus Disk with Jalco rims?
A. Yes they should work fine with a Blackburn EX-2 rack.
Q. Hello, I have a Bontrager Race wheel and its freehub body looks just like this one. Is this a compatible replacement part? Sure looks the same to me but mine is a 9 speed system. Mine also takes the 11mm allen (which was hard to find!) Thanks, ck
A. Thanks for your question. Unfortunately as we're not a Bontrager stockist, we aren't able to advise as to whether or not this will fit. Please accept our sincerest apologies for any inconvenience caused.
