The Focus Ergoride is Focus's take on the 'endurance road bike' concept pioneered by the Specialized Roubaix. The Ergoride offers the light weight, speed and excitement of the pure racing Izalco models. Its sloping top tube and taller head tube allow you to ride in a slightly more relaxed position.

• Precisely aligned full carbon frame and fork with ergoride geometry and shock absorbing skinny seat stays.
• The PF30 bottom bracket is a more refined version of BB30.
• As with BB30 the 30mm diameter aluminium spindle saves weight and the larger diameter bearings last longer, while the oversized BB shell provides a larger interface with the down tube, seat tube and chain stays. The resulting improvement in torsional stiffness rewards you with an immediate and noticeable power response every time you put pressure on the pedals.
• The PF30 bottom bracket is encased in a plastic sleeve to make it even more weatherproof, then it's pressed into the bottom bracket shell.
• The internal cable routing is incredibly refined. For instance the front derailleur cable emerges just in front of the mech.
• The tapered steerer and head tube reinforces that highly stressed part of the bike, improves steering (wider bearing races) and helps eliminate the risk of the brakes juddering.
• Getting a full Shimano Ultegra groupset including compact 34/50 chainset and Super SLR Dual Pivot brakes is pretty astonishing at this price.
• DT Swiss R1850 hoops are the best user-serviceable cartridge bearing wheels we have ever seen on a bike at this price.
• The rear wheel’s Star Ratchet freehub has a proven record for high load resistance, fast engagement and reliability.
• The DT rim’s Strength Boost Welding Technology ensures the smoothest joins.
• The rims have wear indicators.
• The stainless steel spokes are bladed in the middle for improved aerodynamics.
• A locking compound keeps the spoke nipples tight.
