    Aberdeen
After something hard and jagged ripped a tyre apart in the gloom of Bonfire Night in the Aberdeen suburbs, I decided that something with a bit more puncture resistance was needed on my commuter bike. So far, the Touring Plus Reflex (700x37) is standing up to the pounding and abuse tyres get from Aberdeen's industrial estate streets, awash with swarf and junk. As others have said, they were a bit frustrating to fit, but with a couple of levers and a skinned knuckle, not to mention a profanity or two, they went on. It's a nice surprise seeing their hi-vis circumference stripe greeting me from the garage at 0630. So far, they're a bit less comfortable in the rough stuff of cobbled streets and small bumps than the softer 700x38s I've replaced, but I'm happy to sacrifice that for a bit more peace of mind puncture-wise. Cornering and grip seem fine, although the harder ride makes me a bit more wary in the inevitable damp of winter mornings and evenings.
