Wired or Wireless?
Every cycle computer employs a fork or chainstay-mounted sensor. The sensor records wheel movement and transmits this data to be computed into speed/distance info and displayed on the handlebar-mounted monitor. This data is usually transmitted via a cable. More sophisticated computers employ wireless technology which, everything else being equal, will be simpler to set up (no cable to route) and potentially more reliable (no cable to snag).
