Ask a question
Q. If i change the battery, will i lose my data?
A. Thanks for your Q&A, the instructions tell you to go through the set up again when replacing the battery so the data will be lost.
Q. Can this unit be attached to the stem rather than the handlebars without buying extra attachments?
A. The computer mount has curved fittings for both stem and handlebar mounting. The only issue may be with the length of the cable ties provided.
Q. Hi, I want to purchase this for my wheelchair it has 24" rims. There is guidance that an odometer or cycle computer can be used on wheelchair wheels as long as they are like cycle wheels and have spokes which mine do. I just need to know is it wireless. As i do not want to have wires to deal with. Do you think i will be able to collect this okay, Thanks
A. Firstly, we see absolutely no reason why this product should not be compatible with a wheelchair, this is providing there is an appropriate mounting point for the sensor. The Velo 9 however, is not wireless. If you are looking specifically for a wireless cycle computer, it may be worth looking at the Cat Eye Velo Wireless computer which you can find here.
Q. I have 29 x 2.0 tyres. What would I put in to the computer and how do I work it out?
A. Thanks for your question. Rims/the bead seat of of 29" wheels/tyres are the same size as 700c, which is 622. Tyre sizing can be a little bit confusing, there is an ISO standard which will be printed on the tyre wall to clarify. This will show the diameter and the width of the tyre in mm, for 29x2.0 this would be shown as 51-622. The second number is the important one and the one you should be putting into your computer!
