Cat Eye LED Light Uno Front
One LED powered by a single AA battery makes for one powerful front light (400 candle power which is 8 times brighter than, say, Cat Eye's benchmark EL120). Cat Eye have some justification in claiming that the Uno is possibly the smallest, genuine front light available today. By this they mean a lamp that will throw a bit of a beam as well as getting you seen.

I've had my UNO for over a couple of years now and it's still going strong. It's a very compact light that makes good use of its single AA battery. The small size is great to slip in your pocket when running errands, and shares the same bracket most all other CatEye front lights use. Turning it on/off requires holding the button for 2sec, which helps prevent it from accidentally turning on in your bag and draining itself all day while at work. It's a great light for in-town use, and to be seen. On unlit paths, it's just OK. You won't pick out much detail, and you won't see too far down the trail, but that's fairly consistent with most lights in this price range. Overall, it's a well-made product by CatEye that works for what I need it to do. |
