Castelli Body Paint S/S Jersey
This astonishing top is constructed from a single length of Power Lycra. The resulting perfect seamless fit gives the illusion that the jersey is painted on, hence its name: Body Paint. This heavier weight Lycra is legendary for its compression properties which Castelli claim ‘facilitates blood flow in the capillaries, getting more oxygen to the muscles.'
- Constructed from a single piece of engineered Power Stretch Lycra.
- The full-length YKK zip makes it easy to fine tune your personal air conditioning.
- Another benefit of the full zip is that it makes it easier to slip the jersey on or off. That can be important. For instance, you come home from a hard ride. You’re pretty knackered. Would you prefer to persuade a tight pullover over your head? Or would you rather simply unzip and step into the shower?
- It has 3 rear pockets because even if you own this, the world's most advanced cycling jersey, you will still require back pockets. They're a cyclist's personal supplies and feeding station.
- Castelli Sizing Guide.
'Castelli Tech-Labs presents Body Paint technology in a jersey: simplifying the garment to make it better. We’ve been able to create a jersey from a single piece of wrapped fabric, minimizing seams and ending up with an incredibly comfortable, aerodynamic and simple garment that points to the future of jersey construction.’

Castelli
Instantly recognisable for its scorpion logo, Castelli is a great cycle clothing company. Perhaps the greatest. The company was founded by Maurizio Castelli in 1974. His early innovations include Lycra shorts, the anatomic chamois and the sublimated-print jersey. Each of these innovations became (and remain) a ubiquitous emblem of road cycling.
Even before the company was founded, the Castelli family was feted by the tifosi. Maurizio’s father owned the famous Milanese sportswear company Vittore Gianni. Papa Castelli tailored Fausto Coppi’s racing wardrobe, from his silk skin suits to his woolen jerseys, throughout the Campionissimo’s reign in the 1940s & ‘50s.
Today, when you read about Castelli’s near-seamless Body Paint range or you recognise the scorpion logo on Team Garmin-Cervélo’s professional race kit, you will appreciate that Castelli, once again, are at the top of their game.
