    Cannondale Trail SL 5 Women's

    The Trail SL5 is your introduction to the wonderful world of Cannondale mountain bikes. Cannondale optimise the Trail SL5’s frame to such a degree they can claim that at 1.6kg, it’s among the lightest women's MTB frames in its class.

    • The frame’s SAVE (Synapse Active Vibration Elimination) seat stays and chain stays help tame the rear triangle.
    • Shimano Altus shifters and mechs offer dependable gear shifting.
    • Promax mechanical disc brakes.
    • Moving the brakes from the mud and rain-attracting wheel rims to the relatively clean hubs makes for an improvement in the brakes’ all-weather all-conditions performance.
    • Disc brake pads are much harder so they last much longer so they require less frequent adjustment than V-brakes.
    • So do the rims now that they are no longer being worn down by the brake pads.

    Q. What is the overall weight of the Cannondale Trail SL5 Ladies Mountain Bike (smallest frame size)?
    A. Cannondale (as with most manufacturers) do not provide weights for their bikes. We do for this reason do normally try to weight bikes ourselves when they come into stock. The Trail SL 5 women's in size medium weighs 14.32kg/31.60lb. Please note this is for guidance only and is the weight of the bike as it would be received with pedals and reflectors fitted. At this time we cannot supply a weight for the Petite 14" frame.
