Buff Neckerchief
This amazingly versatile seamless tube of stretchy microfibre material can be manipulated into a neck gator, a neckerchief, a pirate/gang-style bandanna, a hair band, a cap, a balaclava, a wristband.... At a pinch, daring folk have been known to wear one as a micro skirt. This is known as being almost in the buff.

Pleasantly scratch-free against the skin, wearing a Buff helps you get over childhood memories of grandmas woollen balaclavas. When its really Baltic, a Buff is thin enough to be worn under a helmet yet substantial enough to insulate the area of maximum heat loss - the head in general and the back of the neck in particular. I wouldnt be seen dead in winter (and much of the rest of the year) without one.
