For everyday loads, one pannier often suffices. But if your cargo carrying needs expand, you can always pair it up with a second Altura Arran 16 Single Pannier. Most riders fit a single pannier on the left to keep it away from the drivetrain. However, fitting it on the right (in the UK) makes your bike look wider so drivers tend to leave more passing space when you ride with a protruding pannier.

• The Altura Arran 16 Single Pannier is constructed in hard-wearing P-Tec 600 fabric.
• Fits right or left side of a rear rack. (It's okay, one pannier doesn't overtly destabilise the bike.)
• Industry-standard German (Rixen and Kaul) pannier rack fittings.
• Reflective trim.

Universal means that this pannier is narrower than most rear panniers and it is symmetrical. This means that the bag can be fitted on the left or right hand side of the rack. It also means it fits most front and rear racks.

Being a bit smaller, Universal panniers are therefore the choice of minimalists. However, they are also the choice of 'maximal' cargo carriers who mount big panniers on the rear rack and universal panniers on the front.
