Abus U-Mini Lock
This is Abus's 'courier lock'. This means that it is the type of lock favoured by bicycle messengers whose very livelihood depends on keeping their bikes. This means that the lock must be as tough as you can get for a reasonable price, yet small enough to carry in a cycling jersey's back pocket. Made in Germany by Abus - Europe's premier locksmiths - the Mini U-Lock meets these conditions with flying colours.
- The Abus U-Mini Lock's 16mm-thick hardened-steel parabolic shackle is much tougher and harder to cut than a regular 13mm D-lock shackle.
- Parabolic Security - the shackle's parabolic shape makes it much more resistant to jacking and leverage.
- The lack of space (compared with a longer D-lock's) within the mini shackle means their is far less room for a thief to work his leverage tools.
