Festive Opening Hours (stores and tele sales): open as usual 7 days a week: 10am - 6pm (Thursday 10am - 7pm) with the following exceptions: 1 and 2 January - shops and tele sales closed. Online Shop Hours: open 24/7 every day of the year.
New Year's Day Triathlon and Kids' Biathlon If you're in Edinburgh on 1 January you could do a lot worse than take an afternoon stroll round Arthur's Seat where we will be hosting the Edinburgh Bicycle New Year's Day Triathlon and Kids' Biathlon. Don't worry, we won't ask you to take part. All 400-odd places were oversubscribed by mid-October. But it's fun and free to spectate and offer encouragement to the hugely diverse bunch who bring in the New Year by swimming 8 lengths of the Commonwealth Pool, cycling round Arthur's Seat 3 times and running round it once. Thanks to the Triathlon, Holyrood Park is traffic free (bicycles excepted) on New Year's Day. Feel free to drop in on the Edinburgh Bicycle Co-op stand for a chat, free juice and biscuits.
