Edinburgh Bicycle News 12 - 18 August 2006

Thank You
(Mostly) great weather; more people on bikes; it has been a fantastic summer. A BIG THANK YOU to all our online customers who celebrated edinburghbicycle.com's 10th birthday with us. Far more people joined in the celebrations than we expected. Just pulling the last of the streamers out of our hair now.

Top Tops
When we get our next heat wave, we recommend the Endura FS260 (£44.95) - a short sleeve jersey in that most wicking fabric, Fieldsensor. Plus it has a full length front zip to facilitate maximum cooling. Alternatively, if you've been trying to source a proper cycling jersey that's not skin tight, our exclusive Protective Odessa short sleeve top (£37.95) is a swelegant answer.

Back In Stock - Revolution Blades
Revolution Blades £19.95 are sunglasses with switchable lenses - smoke for bright light, yellow for low light, clear for no light.
‘All in all, the best set of cycling glasses I’ve tested, offering change from a £20 note.
Verdict: 9/10. It would be a 10 if spare lenses were available.’

Cycling Plus: October 2004. (P.S. we now stock spare lenses. Fiver a pair.)

Back In Stock - Revolution Stow Rucsacs
Revolution Stow Lite £29.95 'Ultralight, stylish and suited to smaller riders. 8/10.'
Cycling Plus: April 2006

Revolution Stow Sport £39.95 'Comfortable, excellent value, well designed and made, great for medium or day rides. Recommended. 9/10.' Cycling Plus: November 2004.

Revolution Stow Expert £49.95 'The Stow Expert fits superbly and the area it occupies on your back feels like a much smaller sack. It also sits well and doesn’t slip even when worn off road. In all it’s the perfect commuter pack (with the raincover for adverse weather, and elastic helmet holder for when you arrive) and an excellent weekend pack. Verdict: 9/10 Best Buy.’ Cycling Plus: February 2006.
