{TEXT} 'If you're a cyclist glasses aren't just for summer. These glasses have the selection of lenses we have come to expect: smoked for bright light, clear for neutral conditions, and yellow for low light and winter days. The lenses attach individually, making them more compact and stylish; albeit more fiddly than the old one-piece designs. However, this is not an issue, unless you change your lenses mid-ride. Fit is snug, yet comfortable and unobtrusive. Testing on damp mornings induced minimal misting which cleared quickly and the lens quality is high, not only in terms of UV protection, they stand up very well to daily use. I sat on the test pair twice and dropped them a couple of times too with no discernible damage. The only downside is that if you should lose a lens under a double decker, spares are not available and you'd have to buy a new set. All in all, for the money the best set of cycling glasses I've tested, offering change from a £20 note. Verdict:
9/10. It would be a 10 if spare lenses were available.*' * Advice taken, Cycling Plus. Spare lenses, frame and bag are now available for Revolution Blades. |
