Title: Wan Dae Adventure Racing Returns to Scotland
2007 Event dates and locations:
- April 14th: Drumlanrig Castle, Dumfriesshire
- June 30th: Isle of Arran
- September 8th: Pentland Hills, Midlothian
Summary: The details of the 2007 Scottish Adventure Racing Series have been announced. The very successful first year of the ‘Wan Dae’ series has encouraged ever more people to try the blossoming sport of adventure racing and with Scotland becoming one of the world’s adventure destinations of choice there’s not a better place to give it a go. In 2007 the race series will be visiting Drumlanrig Castle, Isle of Arran and the Pentland Hills, near Edinburgh.

Maggie's Monster Bike and Hike

A 24-hour event along the Great Glen Way. A thousand participants cycle 30 miles each, then walk eight, 23 or 40 miles for a bronze silver or gold award.

Knockmore Bash

The Forestry Commision's ever popular mountain biking event returns! Come and try the downhill run at Knockmore, Ben Aigan. Free continuous shuttle bus to the top. LAST UPLIFT AT 5PM. Lots of fast fun and time trials. Minimum requirement is a mountain bike with front suspension, and minimum age is 11. Booking is reccommended.

Culbin Forest Family Cycle Ride

Join the ranger for a traffic free ride around Culbin Forest in Moray. The ride will take you out to the seal colony, before reaching the beach at Buckie Loch for lunch. Then a leisurely ride back to the carpark. Don’t forget your lunch and a helmet.

Location: Drymen (near Loch Lomond) to Kenmore (Perthshire)
Summary: The route for the second Rob Roy Challenge will be along the 55 miles of the spectacular Rob Roy Way. Teams or individuals will walk 16 miles from Drymen, near Loch Lomond, north-east through The Trossachs to Callander, where they will switch to bikes for a 39 mile cycle to Kenmore.

Etape Caledonia

The Etape Caledonia is a revolutionary new initiative in British cycling which will deliver closed road competitive cycling open to all standards of cyclists, giving you the opportunity to record your best time, for comparison against top international cyclists, fellow club members or your mates.
The Etape Caledonia will be held on Sunday 24th June 2007, starting and finishing in the town of Pitlochry, Perthshire.
