Arkel tell us that producing everything in their own factory enables them to oversee every step of the production process and enables them to guarantee 100% quality control.
Swooping Aluminum Clamps
Arkel's unique polished and hard anodized aluminum brackets are not only the strongest ever to be created, they are also incredibly smooth, so they will blend in with the fanciest bike.
Double-clamps make for easy adjustments or removal when needed. These clamps will fit any bar from 22.2 to 31.8mm diameter. Since both clamps are individual pieces, and not one unit, they can be adjusted as close or as far away to the stem as needed, thus allowing for the installation of bells, lights or a computer. Tilt and width are adjustable too.
Stainless Steel Bag Clips
The aluminium clamps mate with stainless steel clip-plates on back of the bag. These clips are fully adjustable, 2.5cm to 10cm, sideways. A pull handle just above the clip-plates facilitates fitting or removing the bag. Removing the bag is as simple as depressing the spring plates and pulling up. It can't ever disengage on the road by itself . When removed, a roll-up 2-ply Cordura cover can be 'Velcroed' down over the mounting hardware. This makes the bag a comfier carry when you use it off the bike as a shoulder bag. Oh yeah, and the neoprene-lined shoulder strap can be tucked away in its own compartment when the bag returns to bar-mounted mode.
Polyethylene Shell
The bag's skeleton is an unbreakable polyethylene shell reinforced with 6061-T6 aluminium rods - crash insurance for your camera. The bag clips are bolted into the aluminium rod for ultimate integrity.
