For many years we’ve been offering interest-free credit on bikes ordered from our bricks and mortar shops. We are delighted not only to continue this service but to extend it to our Mail Order/Internet Department.
Simply select your goods either from our catalogue or website (the order must include at least one bicycle with a minimum value of £500, maximum transaction value £5000).
Telephone us on 0845 257 0808 with your order and details of how you would like to pay the deposit (10% minimum required). This deposit must be paid with a credit or debit card registered in your name and at your home/billing address.
Choose between 6, 10 or 12 months interest-free payments.
We will complete the application form on your behalf by asking for a few details that we will forward to our finance company for authorisation. Part of this process involves reading you a disclaimer, which can be found at the foot of this page.
Once your application is accepted, we (Edinburgh Bicycle) will send the Fixed-Sum Loan Agreement Form along with the direct debit mandate, please check these carefully and sign all copies where applicable.
When you return the signed credit agreement form to Edinburgh Bicycle Co-op, we will contact you to arrange delivery of the bike. This delivery will take place after the fourteen day cooling of period has passed, this cooling off period is usually from the date you sign the agreement form.
The whole process from the time you choose the bike to its delivery to your home takes around 16 days.
Example (for illustration purposes only)
If you decide to purchase a Specialized Allez Sport 18 '10 at £599.99 on a 6 month plan then the payments would be as follows:
Purchase Price - £599.99
Deposit (minimum 10%) - £60.00
Balance (amount of credit) - £539.99
Total amount payable - £599.99 (Typical 0% APR)
£539.99 spread over six months would be an initial payment of £89.99 followed by 5 equal payments of £90.00.
If you have any questions regarding interest-free payment plans either for mail order or at our branches please call us on 0845 257 0808.
