Bicycles are what the Bike Co-op is all about. Quite simply we look on bicycles as an all-round good thing. That's why we don't restrict our range to any specific niche or brand. That's why our bicycle range includes road bikes, cross bikes, touring bikes, mountain bikes, women's bikes, unisex bikes, kids' bikes, balance bikes, pro-quality bikes and beginners' bikes. We also cover the whole sector that comes under the rainbow banner, 'hybrid bikes' including flat bar commuter/hybrid bikes, high-bar comfort bikes, Pashley bikes (a group unto themselves), folding bikes and electric bikes.
Why? Because as Pulitzer Prize-winning Californian novelist William Saroyan famously wrote, 'The bicycle is the noblest invention of mankind. I love the bicycle. I always have. I can think of no sincere, decent human being, male or female, young or old, saint or sinner, who can resist the bicycle.'
Cannondale bikes produced their first bike in 1983 – an aluminium framed touring bike. Two years later they launched their first road bikes and mountain bikes, and over the years, we have watched Cannondale bikes develop and diversify. Find out more about Cannondale bikes on our Blog.
